Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a three year full-time programme. The course comprises of a number of theoretical as well as laboratory subjects evenly distributed across six semesters. Students are also expected to take up and complete a full-fledged project in their final semester. To be awarded the Diploma, a minimum average of 35% is to be maintained across all semesters.

During the Diploma program, you will pick up the skills necessary for understanding forces and thermal environment that a product – its parts, or its subsystems – will encounter; designing them for optimal efficiency and problem-solving;determining the best way to manufacture them, and ensuring they operate without failure. You will learn to design and conduct experiments, analyse and interpret their output.

For a Diploma and a successful career in Mechanical Engineering, you need to master the basics of science (with special emphasis on physics and chemistry) and mathematics.
